Tyreak Sapp, EDGE

Opposite of Gumbs is another standout starting edge rusher for the Gators, senior Tyreak Sapp. The 6-foot-2 and 275-pound edge rusher does almost everything well for this Florida defensive front.

Sapp is the definition of a textbook example of setting the edge for Florida in run defense. His combination of size and strength makes Sapp extremely difficult to get out of position or move back when he's setting the edge in run defense.

He ranks in the top 10 among SEC edge rushers in run stops and run stuffs this season (per PFF).

Defending the run isn't the only way that Sapp makes a big impact on games for the Florida defense. He is also a very effective pass rusher coming off the edge, especially when he quickly gets leverage against opposing linemen. Sapp leads the team in sacks and havoc rate.

Blocking Sapp in pass pro and getting him outside of run lanes so that Texas can establish the zone run game outside of the tackles on offense will be critical to setting the tone in the trenches against the Gators this weekend.

Florida's disruptive edge rushers will be an x-factor that could impact this game in big ways for the Longhorns' offense, especially if they're not prepared to deal with the quickness and leverage they bring in the pass rush and run defense, setting the edge.
