Maddox Maher, QB
Texas hosted a handful of late-cycle visiting recruits from the 2025 class during the Junior Day festivities today. The highlight of the bunch among the visiting 2025 recruits for the Longhorns at Junior Day today is 6-foot-3 and 190-pound Dripping Springs (TX) quarterback Maddox Maher.

According to a post on his X account last fall, Maher is committed to D2 Angelo State.
A three-sport athlete who plays football and baseball in the spring and runs track for Dripping Springs High School, Maher is an athletic quarterback with good size and production during his football career.
Maher was a two-time First-Team All District selection for 26-6A division. He threw for 2,250 yards, 33 passing touchdowns, and six interceptions during his senior season for Dripping Springs last fall. Maher also rushed for 288 yards and three touchdowns this past season.
Since the Longhorns are hosting multiple late-cycle 2025 prospects for Junior Day this weekend, who don't currently have Texas offers, this could be a situation where the coaching staff is potentially looking at these recruits as preferred walk-on candidates.
