A couple of weeks ago, Texas football hosted multiple key visiting recruits from the 2027 class early in the cycle on campus for the first big Junior Day of the 2025 offseason. Texas sent out multiple offers to rising prospects from the 2027 class during the Junior Day festivities on the weekend of Jan. 25.

Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns' coaching staff have also been busy on the road and scouting emerging targets from the 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes for the spring evaluation period for the next couple of months on the trail.

Texas is working to identify its top targets on the trail for the 2027 class early in the cycle. But there are already a handful of top priority recruits on the trail early in the 2027 cycle that the Longhorns have spent a lot of time recruiting.

Here are three top early priority recruits for the Longhorns on the offensive side of the ball in the 2027 class early in the 2025 offseason.

Ethan "Boobie" Feaster, DeSoto (TX) WR

Five-star DeSoto (TX) wide receiver Ethan "Boobie" Feaster is among the nation's top-ranked recruits for the class of 2027. Feaster, the No. 1 ranked wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2027 class in the 247Sports Composite, has already visited Texas multiple times since last offseason.

The 6-foot-0.5 and 175-pound wideout from South Dallas has racked up offers from over three dozen FBS programs. Feaster has built a great relationship with Sarkisian and Texas wide receivers coach Chris Jackson.

He recently told On3's Chad Simmons that he wants to visit the LSU Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, and Texas this spring.

Peyton Houston, Cotton Valley (LA) Evangel Christian Academy QB

Texas is one of the top schools in contention early in the 2027 recruiting cycle for the elite high-four-star Evangel Christian Academy quarterback Peyton Houston. The No. 2 quarterback recruit in the nation in the 2027 class, according to Rivals, Houston likes what he's seen from Sarkisian and the Texas offense in the past couple of years.

Houston has made multiple trips to Texas since the Elite Camp last June, where he received an offer from the Longhorns. He most recently made an unofficial trip to Texas for Junior Day on Jan. 25.

Texas impressed Houston during his Junior Day trip. He's also scheduled to make trips to see the Georgia Bulldogs and LSU Tigers early this spring.

Landen Williams-Callis, Richmond (TX) Randle RB

Richmond (TX) Randle five-star Landen Williams-Callis is a sensational running back prospect who has caught Texas RB coach Tashard Choice's attention big-time on the trail in the 2027 class. The No. 1 running back recruit in the nation in the 2027 class in the 247Sports Composite has visited Texas multiple times in the past year.

Williams-Callis has a tremendous combination of power and explosiveness running the football. He's rushed for over 4,000 yards, 66 rushing touchdowns, and nearly 10 yards per carry in his first two seasons playing varsity for Randle High School. He helped lead Randle to a 5A-2 state title over South Oak Cliff last December.

Choice has built a fantastic relationship with Williams-Callis on the trail over the past six or eight months. The fact that Choice is sticking around at Texas after interviewing with the Dallas Cowboys last weekend reaffirms the Longhorns' place among the top group of schools early in Williams-Callis' recruitment.
