4 bold Texas football predictions that will put the Bulldogs in their kennel

Texas Football is heading to Georgia this weekend to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in a game that could decide the season for Texas. If the Longhorns want a shot at the SEC Championship game and the College Football Playoffs, they have to win.

Texas Football is taking their team on the road this weekend to face the Georgia Bulldogs. It's probably the biggest game of the season for the Longhorns regarding what's on the line for Steve Sarikisian and Co. With a game this big, it's only fitting that it's the Saturday night primetime game.

Here are four bold predictions for Texas that could have the Bulldogs put in their kennels:

1. Arch takes it to another level during primetime

Arch Manning has to be at the top of his game this weekend if the Longhorns want any shot of beating the Bulldogs. He can't be inaccurate while throwing the football around.

However, I think Arch will get over his growing pains and throw for more than 350 yards this weekend. He really wants to be in the College Football Playoffs this season, and I think America is about to see what Steve Sarkisian saw in him when he recruited him.

2. Longhorns running game levels Bulldogs' defense

If the Longhorns want to come away with a win against the Bulldogs this weekend, CJ Baxter and Quintrevion Wisner have to show up and exploit the Bulldogs' defensive line. My second bold prediction is that both running backs will combine for more than 200 yards on the ground. The Longhorns will need a successful mix of both the run and pass to beat the Bulldogs, and if both running backs are gaining 5-7 yards per carry, the Longhorns will be in great shape.

3. Putting Gunner Stockton on the ground

The Longhorns will need their defense to get to Gunner Stockton if they want to take out the Bulldogs' offense this weekend. He's a significant contributor to the Bulldogs' ability to move the ball down the field with his superb passing.

My third bold prediction is that the Longhorns sack him more than six times this weekend. Colin Simmons, Anthony Hill Jr., and Ethan Burke will be let loose on Saturday in Athens.

4. No fourth quarter blunder

My last bold prediction pertains to the Longhorns' defense and what transpired in the fourth quarter against Vanderbilt two weekends ago. While it was disappointing that the Longhorns allowed the Commodores to come back into the game, I think they will be better this week.

My final bold prediction is that the Longhorns' defense will lock in and shut down the Bulldogs in the fourth quarter if they hold the lead. The defense has demonstrated the ability to lock in during big games, and this game is about as big as they come.
