Texas signed an elite wide receiver recruiting class for 2025, which featured a trio of blue-chip commitments at the position, and two five-stars. Sunshine state native Jaime Ffrench and Sachse's (TX) Kaliq Lockett were the highlights of Texas's 2025 signing class at the receiver position.

Given that Ffrench is a solid route runner and has good hands, he has a chance to get immediate playing time on the two-deep at the receiver position next fall.

Since Texas lost two out of its three starting receivers to the NFL Draft, Ffrench will have a chance to compete with Lockett, Aaron Butler, and Parker Livingstone for immediate reps at receiver in practice this spring with the first-team offense.

Josiah Sharma, DL

Kenny Baker and the Longhorns put a huge focus and energy on nailing defensive line recruiting in the 2025 class, especially out-of-state for this past cycle in the trenches. Texas signed two important blue-chip defensive line recruits who both have the capability and opportunity to immediately impact the Longhorns up front on the defensive side of the ball, including Josiah Sharma and Myron Charles.

Texas has also gotten some early looks at the elite five-star defensive line signee from Georgia, Justus Terry. The highest-rated defensive line signee in the Longhorns' 2025 class, Terry has impressed with his strength and overall athleticism since he arrived on campus early to compete in postseason practice last month.

At 6-foot-4.5 and 325-pounds, I not only think that Sharma is one of the most underrated signees in the Longhorns' 2025 class, but he also is the biggest and most impact-ready of the bunch up front along the defensive line. Sharma probably should've been rated as a high-four-star prospect at the lowest.

Sharma has the size and strength to give the Longhorns valuable early reps with the interior defensive line rotation at three-tech or nose tackle next fall.
