Kevin Wynn, DL (Florida State commit)

One of the most important flip targets from the 2025 class who is taking an unofficial visit to Texas this weekend for the Georgia game is the highly touted four-star Florida State Seminoles defensive line commit Kevin Wynn. The blue-chip defensive tackle from Greensboro (GA) Greene County High School has been one of Texas's top-priority flip targets in the 2025 class this fall.

Wynn is one of many current or former Florida State commits the Longhorns have pursued on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class this fall. Texas has already flipped one-time Florida State commits in the 2025 class, including four-star Lucas (TX) Lovejoy wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon and four-star Port Charlotte (FL) defensive lineman Myron Charles in the last six weeks or so.

Texas is also hosting former Florida State commit and the elite high-four-star Cocoa (FL) edge rusher Javion Hilson for an unofficial visit for the Georgia game on Saturday night at DKR.

Wynn has been a top out-of-state defensive line priority for Baker and the Longhorns in the 2025 class since the spring evaluation period last offseason. He officially visited Texas in mid-June before committing to Florida State a couple of weeks later in late June.

Getting Wynn to campus at least once before signing day in early December was absolutely critical for the Longhorns' chances to flip him from Florida State in the next couple of months. This is a huge opportunity for the Longhorns in this recruitment to show Wynn what the atmosphere and program are like in a game with massive stakes in primetime in the SEC against Georgia on Saturday night.
