Quintrevion Wisner, RB

Per On Texas Football, sophomore running back Quintrevion Wisner was in a green practice jersey on Tuesday for the Longhorns after he suffered an upper-body injury against Georgia last weekend. OTF's CJ Vogel mentioned the word "cautious" when describing Wisner wearing the non-contact jersey in practice earlier this week.

We will get the first SEC-mandated injury report of the week on Wednesday night, which will officially show the status of injured Longhorns players like Wisner.

Multiple Texas running backs have dealt with various injury issues this fall. Not only is Wisner dealing with a reported shoulder injury after the Georgia game, but true freshman running back Jerrick Gibson and junior Jaydon Blue have also dealt with lower-body injuries since early-to-mid September.

Wisner was Texas's most utilized running back last weekend against Georgia. Texas's ground game struggled to get anything going consistently on the ground in the 15-point loss to the Dawgs, with Wisner posting a team-high 52 rushing yards on 15 carries (3.5 yards per carry).

Gibson could be someone to watch for Texas's running back room against Vanderbilt's defensive front this weekend. His ability to run between the tackles and fight through contact for those tough yards in short-yardage and goal line situations can help the Longhorns with the zone ground game.

If Wisner is out for the Longhorns against Vanderbilt this weekend, Blue will be the only RB with starting experience available on the road.

Wisner is Texas's leading rusher this season, as the only Longhorns running back with over 300 rush yards and above the five yards per carry mark.
