Texas has been doing a good job when it comes to recruiting along the offensive line so far in 2026, and Steve Sarkisian recently received some good news regarding one of the team's top OL prospects.
4-star OG/C Reed Ramsier from Orlando, FL, has let the coaching staff know that he plans on visiting Texas during the spring. Not only is it great to have one of your top targets on campus to watch practice, but there were rumors circulating that Texas was on the outside looking in when it comes to his recruitment.
It's well known that Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, and Miami are amongst his "top" schools right now, but maybe Texas has more of a chance than originally predicted.

The 6'4", 290-pound blocker has been climbing up recruiting boards since his sophomore season in 2024, and he's developed into a top-notch pass blocker at the prep-level. He has excellent foot speed and lateral agility, which makes it extremely hard for defenders to run around him inside.
He's also no slouch in the run game, consistently driving his feet and finishing blocks the way college coaches want to see.
Ramsier recently participated in the Navy All-American Bowl in January, and he showed off why schools have been so bullish on him as of late. He was able to put his strength and athleticism on full display in both practices and the game, which has definitely played role in his late recruiting bump.
He most likely projects to either offensive guard or center at the next level, and that's exactly what Texas is looking for right now. The team absolutely has to find a center in the 2027 class, and Ramsier shows the potential to be a long-term starter on the interior for Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns' offense.
