Yet another blue-chip athlete is considering the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian for his future program. This time around, it's the No. 30 athlete out of the state of Georgia and the No. 18 overall running back in the class of 2026.

Ameri Latimer, a four-star running back, included the Horns, alongside the Georgia Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers, Michigan Wolverines, Florida State Seminoles, and Wisconsin Badgers within his final six schools still in contention for his future.

Latimer, who currently holds 47 Division I offers, has official visits scheduled with Texas (June 13) as well as Wisconsin (May 30) and the Miami Hurricanes (June 6).

So far, he has taken two unofficial visits to Georgia, Ole Miss, and Miami. He has taken just one unofficial visit to UCF, South Carolina, Auburn, and Michigan. For even further context, Latimer grew up just 80 miles from the Bulldogs' campus.

At 6-foot-0 and just 200 pounds, Latimer will most likely need to put on some weight before he takes his first collegiate snap, but the Longhorns have a history of incredibly successful running backs: Earl Campbell, Jamaal Charles, Cedric Benson, Ricky Williams, D'Onta Foreman, Malcolm Brown, Bijan Robinson, and Roschon Johnson... just to name a few.
