The Longhorns are certainly looking to the future as they work to build their recruiting class from 2026 and 2027. Currently, not a single program in the nation has an official commitment from a prospect in the class of 2027, but one four-star recruit had great words to share about the Texas staff.

Tre Moore, a four-star wide receiver from right up the road in Pflugerville, TX, praised the Horns' staff for developing some of the best wideouts in the nation, from Xavier Worthy to Matthew Golden.

“That’s the place to be and it’s hot right now," Moore said. "If I want to go to the league, that's a place that I can definitely see in my future.”

He's right, head coach Steve Sarkisian and wide receiver coach Chris Jackson have turned blue-chip recruits into more than just college stars; they've developed them into players and young men who are beyond ready to play at the next level.

Sarkisian hired Jackson as his wide receiver coach and offensive passing play coordinator in January of 2023. The results of the hire were immediate.

Worthy earned 1,014 receiving yards during his one season under Jackson, scoring five touchdowns. Similarly, Golden transferred to Texas ahead of the 2024 season and had a career-high 987 receiving yards for nine touchdowns.

Both Worthy and Golden were taken in the first round of their respective NFL Drafts (2024 and 2025). During his rookie season for the Kansas City Chiefs, Worthy earned 638 receiving yards for six touchdowns during the regular season, with 287 yards and three touchdowns in the playoffs.

Jackson and Sarkisian are cranking out NFL-ready wide receivers like it's nobody's business, and that is a massive draw for high school prospects who are looking to take the next step in their young careers.
