Keanu Tanuvasa, DT (Utah)
One of the top transfers at defensive tackle in the portal for the winter window early this week is former Utah Utes redshirt sophomore transfer defensive lineman Keanu Tanuvasa.
Per 247Sports' Chris Hummer, Tanuvasa officially entered the transfer portal on Dec. 23. The 6-foot-4 and 301-pound defensive tackle from Mission Viejo, CA, Tanuvasa started 20 games over the past two seasons for Utah's defensive line.
Tanuvasa was a disruptive and reliable starter who received All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors in 2024 for Utah, despite playing just seven games due to lingering injury issues this season.
As a redshirt freshman in 2023, Tanuvasa was effective for Utah's defensive line in wins over multiple top 25 games in Pac-12 conference play. He registered multiple tackles for loss and quarterback pressures in Utah's win over the No. 19 Oregon State Beavers. And he registered his first career forced fumble in a win over the No. 22 UCLA Bruins.
Tanuvasa was named a Freshman-All American Honorable Mention by the College Football Network in 2023.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
