Bryce Perry-Wright, DL

A key 2026 out-of-state recruit on the defensive side of the ball who made his first unofficial gameday visit to Texas for the Florida game last weekend was four-star Buford (GA) defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright. The blue-chip defensive tackle from Georgia got to see the Longhorns beat up on Florida in front of an energized crowd at DKR on Saturday.

He was impressed by the atmosphere on campus, the play of the defense, and the communication with the coaching staff coming out of his unofficial visit over the weekend.

After the visit, Perry-Wright said that his "interest level in Texas is high". Perry-Wright has another unofficial gameday visit scheduled to see the Georgia Bulldogs host the Tennessee Volunteers at Sanford Stadium in Athens next weekend.

Kellen Wiley, LB

Texas hosted two Sunshine State blue-chip prospects from the 2025 class for official visits for the Florida game last weekend, Littleton and four-star Tampa (FL) Armwood linebacker Kellen Wiley.

During his visit, Texas pitched Wiley on developing into a versatile and athletic linebacker who can be a stalwart along the defensive front for Johnny Nansen and Pete Kwiatkowski's unit. The early returns following the conclusion of Wiley's official visit to Texas last weekend is that he and his family had a great trip to Austin for the Florida game.

Texas did a nice job of pitching Wiley to be an early contributor to the linebacker room last weekend during his visit. It sounds like the Longhorns made up a good bit of ground in this recruitment with the leading Miami Hurricanes.
