Chace Calicut, S
One of the in-state recruits with the most buzz from the 2026 class for the Longhorns coming out of the Junior Day visits this weekend is the highly touted four-star Houston (TX) North Shore safety Chace Calicut.
"Today was cool. It was nice to meet with the coaches. It really feels like home. "Chace Calicut
This visit really moved the needle for Calicut's recruitment and potential decision timeline early this offseason. He said that Texas is "leading his recruitment" and he plans on making a decision this summer by July.
Calicut has early-offseason visits to see the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide. But the Longhorns definitely made a big impression during the Junior Day visit yesterday.

After his first return visit to Texas since the UTSA game at DKR last fall, On3's Steve Wiltfong entered an On3 RPM projecting Calicut's commitment to the Longhorns.
Zaden Krempin, OL
Texas has emphasized consistent communication and great relationships with four-star Prosper (TX) interior offensive lineman Zaden Krempin as he starts taking unofficial visits early this offseason. Flood and Chris Gilbert visited Krempin at Prosper High School in the northern part of the DFW Metroplex last week.
Krempin also spent a good portion of his Junior Day visit this weekend meeting with Flood. He knows that the Longhorns are prioritizing him as a key part of their plans for the interior of the offensive line in the trenches for the 2026 class.
Ojo and Krempin were two of the in-state blue-chip offensive line recruits in the 2026 class that Bell was consistently talking to and helping the Longhorns recruit during Junior Day festivities yesterday.

Texas will be one of the schools that Krempin officially visits this summer in a few months.
