A fourth Texas women's basketball player has entered the transfer portal

Texas women's basketball has been in a whirlwind since the season ended this past weekend. Right out of the gate, players are headed to the transfer portal.

One thing I think all college coaches hate is the transfer portal. While I understand that many college athletes don't go on to have pro careers after college and want to earn a lot of NIL, the number of players hopping from one college to another is starting to get a bit insane.

For the second time in three days, another Texas women's basketball player has entered her name into the transfer portal.

First, I want to thank Jordan Lee for all her contributions to Texas. I know she didn't get as much playing time as she was promised; however, she really contributed a lot to the team's success this past season. She's going to be a good player wherever she ends up next.

The reason why Lee entered the portal is probably not what you might think. I don't think it's because of NIL, I think it has more to do with possibly being able to play close to her home while getting more playing time.

She played high school basketball in Stockton, California, which is a little bit away from UCLA's campus. I guess that she sees an opening at a school like UCLA that will allow her more playing time next to her family and friends.

I doubt this has to do with money or playing time next season. I also don't think it's because she's scared one of the incoming freshmen at Texas would take her spot in the rotation. Freshman basketball players have to earn their playing time with Vic.

There was also speculation circulating online that she got a mental block after being chewed out for acting as one of the cheerleaders during one of the blowout victories Texas had this season.

However, I highly doubt that's the case, and no evidence to back up the claim. I hope that Lee can find another school that's willing to give her what she wants moving forward. Stay tuned to Hookem Headlines for more transfer portal news as it breaks.
