Andrew Miller
Oklahoma State University alum, Class of 2016. Andrew was formerly Site Editor for the Oklahoma State site Pokes Post, Chicago Bulls site Pippen Ain't Easy, and Carolina Hurricanes site Cardiac Cane. He is currently editor for the Texas Longhorns site Hook'em Headlines and a contributor for the hip-hop site Rhyme Junkie. Brian Sweet
Blackout Dallas Site Expert. Part-time contributor for Nolan Writin and Hook'em Headlines. A 2019 graduate of the Abilene Christian Journalism Program. Part-time guest for DFW's Best for Business show. Recently, I was on Oilers Live during the Western Conference Finals last season. Sam Fariss
Sam Fariss is a staff writer for our NCAA team. She attended the University of Oregon (Go Ducks) where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Sam has covered college football and other collegiate sports for six years now. Her favorite teams are the Ducks (of course) and the Texas Longhorns because she was raised in Austin!
Shane Black
Shane is a contributor to Hook'Em Headlines, covering all things University of Texas athletics since June 2022. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and media communication from Colorado State University and is a current master's candidate in the communication and digital media program at Seton Hall University. A native Texan and lifelong Longhorn supporter, Shane is passionate about pursuing stories that divulge more than the box score. When he isn't writing, you can find Shane on a New Jersey tennis court.
