Another Longhorn is off the 2025 NFL Draft after defensive tackle Alfred Collins was selected as the 43rd overall pick. The defensive big man was a dominant presence with arms that stretch nearly 35 inches each. Now, Collins is headed to the Bay Area, where he will suit up as a San Francisco 49er.

With the selection, Collins became the first defensive lineman taken from Texas, but he was the second overall defensive player for the Longhorns to hear his name called, defensive back Jahdae Barron going 20th overall in the first round to the Denver Broncos.

On the first night of the draft, the 49ers selected Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams, only starting to beef up their defensive line, which San Francisco continued to add to with the selection of Collins.

At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Collins is nearly impossible to stop off of the line. Not to mention the fact that the big man has some big speed, clocking in at 4.95 seconds in his quickest 40-yard dash attempt this spring.
