The Tennessee Titans have officially selected Texas LB Anthony Hill Jr. with the 60th of the 2026 NFL Draft, making him the first Longhorn off the board in this year's draft.

There was a slight chance that he could've snuck into the tail end of the first round last night, but it was always more realistic that he'd be a day 2-type player. Quite a few teams needed linebacker help in round one, but the offensive skill players were naturally going to start pushing the higher-level defenders down the board.

Very few linebackers in this year's class have the type of overall athleticism that Anthony Hill Jr. has at 6'2", 238 lbs., and the way he's able to seemingly teleport around the field due to his above-average lateral mobility is absolutely beautiful to watch.

He not only brings playmaking ability to Tennessee's linebacking core, but he brings positional versatility as well. Hill Jr. isn't just pigeonholed into playing MIKE for the Titans. He's shown the mental acuity and above-average processing skills to play all three linebacker spots at the next level.

He'll undoubtedly be competing for a starting job with Tennessee as a rookie, and it's pretty safe to say that there's a very good chance that he'll be able to beat out the likes of former Cleveland linebacker Mohamoud Diabate to start in new HC Robert Saleh's base defense.

Though Longhorn Nation is incredibly sad to see Hill Jr. leave the team, we're all incredibly proud of him and will be rooting for him on Sundays.
