While the season undeniably got off to a rocky start, Texas quarterback Arch Manning has found his footing, and it is paying off as the Longhorns are finally on a three-game winning streak against SEC opponents.

Time, experience, and maturity might be big factors as to why Manning has improved so drastically over the last few weeks, but a certain ally in his corner might be an even bigger reason.

According to recent reports, Manning and Alabama starting quarterback Ty Simpson are in constant communication, breaking down what they see from other defenses in the conference and giving each other notes for upcoming matchups.

"Yeah, I'm sure we'll talk," Manning said about Simpson. "He's asked me some questions about teams we've played, so it's good having him in my corner."

Ty Simpson and Arch Manning are a two-headed monster in the SEC

While Manning might have started the year as the Heisman favorite, Simpson has stormed to the front of the foot race and has led Alabama toward the front of the conference standings.

The two talented quarterbacks being able to help each other throughout the season is a huge threat to the rest of the SEC, especially as the Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas Longhorns aren't scheduled to play each other during the regular season.

"Me and Arch have been friends for, shoot, a very long time," Simpson said of Manning. "Of course, we had a ton of respect for each other with us being two of the best quarterbacks and how similar we are, we just love ball. We'll hang out outside of football... That's my guy. Ton of respect to him and his family, his brother. He's a really good friend, a good friend to have."

As Manning gets ready to take on the Georgia Bulldogs this week, a team that Simpson and the Tide already defeated, he shared that he'll undoubtedly reach out to the Alabama QB.

As Simpson prepares to take on the Oklahoma Sooners, a team that Manning and the Horns already defeated, Manning will undoubtedly return the favor.
