Arch Manning has Texas A&M's defense running scared

No. 3 Texas football got on the scoreboard first in the Lone Star Showdown against the No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies on a tough 15-yard rushing touchdown by quarterback Arch Manning on fourth down. Arch showed off his speed and toughness running the football to get around the left side of the Texas offensive line for the fourth-down conversion.

While the run play for Arch on fourth down was initial ruled out just before the goal line, it was ruled a touchdown after the review by the refs.

There was no hesitation and no being phased for Manning in his first career road snap taken in his collegiate career for the Texas offense.

Arch's confidence and aggression showed with his reaction to the physical touchdown run that went viral on social media against Texas A&M tonight.

Social media compared Arch's face reactions to his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning, after the impressive touchdown run to get the Longhorns on the board in the first quarter.

This was Arch's fourth rushing touchdown of the season. Arch scored his first career rushing touchdown in Texas's regular season opener win over the Colorado State Rams on Aug. 31. He's also picked up rushing touchdowns in Texas wins over the UTSA Roadrunners and Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Texas got the ball for the eventual Arch rushing touchdown drive thanks to an acrobatic interception by redshirt junior safety Michael Taaffe. The Longhorns drove the field over 80 yards for the game's first touchdown drive, including a 26-yard run from junior quarterback Quinn Ewers to convert for a first down on third-and-long.

Manning has started two games for the Longhorns this season. He led the Longhorns to wins over Mississippi State and UTSA in the two starts he made for Texas earlier in the regular season.
