After the best game of his career and a win over the No. 9 Vanderbilt Commodores, Texas quarterback Arch Manning was asked about his week leading up to the game.
Yes, reporters asked about his concussion from the weekend before and practice ahead of the top-25 matchup, but they also asked an unusual question, finally getting answers about one of Manning's mid-week activities.
On Wednesday, a picture of Manning went viral. The Longhorns' QB1 had been pulled over on the side of the road and was talking to the cop who had just done it.
Immediately, which everyone should have seen coming, the internet ran with the picture as Texas fans wondered what in the world their quarterback had been doing. On Saturday, he finally provided an answer.
"It was a crosswalk that was solid red. I didn’t think there was anyone around, so I went," Manning said. "I guess there was someone around."
Arch Manning runs reds and throws dimes
After an incredibly rocky start to his season and a concussion against Mississippi State that had his playing status up in the air, Manning had the game of a lifetime against Vanderbilt. So, while he may have been caught by the cop for running the red light, the Commodores couldn't catch him on the field.
Barstool SEC carrier pigeon has blessed me with the knowledge that Arch Manning was pulled over by Austin PD today.

Manning earned 328 passing yards on 25 completions (75.8 percent) for three touchdowns. While it wasn't his biggest game on the ground, his accuracy and poise were unmatched, leading the Horns to their 34-31 win over Vandy.
"Very proud of him," Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said about Manning's performance. "He's been through a lot, and so for him to have some of the success he's having right now, he deserves it."
Before the game, the excitement in Austin was palpable, especially as Manning hyped up the crowd during his walk into the stadium and unleashed a few expletives in the tunnel before taking the field.
Now, Texas is 6-2 overall and 4-1 against SEC opponents. No matter how ugly the season has been, the wins are still wins, and this one was no different.
After a week off, the Longhorns would take a trip to Athens to face the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs on the road.
