Pro Football Sports Network just dropped its way-too-early Heisman odds for the 2026 season, and a lot of folks out there in the college football world could see them as pretty controversial. Though Texas' Arch Manning looked incredible over the second half of the season in 2025, the outsiders still believe that he's overrated.
It's safe to say that PFSN doesn't believe that he's overrated at all seeing as how they have him with the best odds to win the Heisman in 2026.

Putting myself in the shoes of a non-Texas football fan, it's understandable that there could be some hesitation with the list. All of the players behind Manning were either major contributors to the team's success in 2025, and those team made it further along than Texas or they had better records than the Longhorns, aside from Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele.
- Julian Sayin led the Buckeyes to a 12-2 record and a CFP quarterfinal game.
- C.J. Carr was one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the league and just missed out on the playoffs, leading Notre Dame to a 10-2 record in 2025.
- Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has an incredible amount of hype after single-handedly "resurrecting" the CAL football program.
- Jeremiah Smith has looked like an NFL player since his true freshman season and continues to have Calvin Johnson-type dominance at the collegiate level.
Having said all of that, Longhorn Nation knows that Arch Manning has what it takes to win the Heisman at some point and hopefully that'll be in 2026. Despite the negativity surrounding how he looked early on in the 2025 season, I think we'll see his Heisman odds closer to where PFSN's currently are.
A lot of people fail to realize that he was clear and away the best quarterback in the league over the final five or six games of the 2025 season.
