On3 just released its updated player rankings for 2026, and where they have Arch Manning ranked is absolutely blasphemous based on the way he dominated the second half of the 2025 season.
Not many quarterbacks, or even players in the league, were as good as he was to end the year, and he definitely looked like the player that he was touted to be heading into the season. He single-handedly demolished teams down the stretch with both his arm and his legs, making throws that some current NFL quarterbacks couldn't even make.
I’d bet Arch Manning is drafted #1 overall in 2027 pic.twitter.com/UCIs0MybxP

But, as we've seen in the past, not all personnel evaluators and media members are good at their jobs, and whoever made this list definitely falls under that category.
On3's top 10 players for 2026
1- WR Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State
2- QB Dante Moore, Oregon
3 - CB Leonard Moore, Notre Dame
4 - DE Dylan Stewart, South Carolina
5 - WR Malachi Toney, Miami
6 - DE Colin Simmons, Texas
7 - WR Cam Coleman, Texas
8 - QB Sam Leavitt, LSU
9 - QB Julian Sayin, Ohio State
10 - Arch Manning, Texas
Though it's great to see three Longhorns make the list, the fact that Arch is all the way down at No.10 is incredibly wild.
From an arm talent standpoint, it's understandable to see Dante Moore ranked fairly high, but his overall ability to make plays for his team is nowhere near the level of Manning's. As we saw against multiple top-tier teams down the stretch, Manning can rip off explosive runs all day long if defenses can take away different things in the passing game.
There's no reason whatsoever that Arch Manning should be ranked as the No.4 QB in college football right now, specifically behind guys like Sam Leavitt and Julian Sayin. Leavitt's ranking is obviously just based on potential, and his full recovery is a huge "what if" for Lane Kiffin and LSU in 2026.
Sayin is one of the most vanilla quarterbacks in the league, and the fact that he's on this list is 100% due to the fact that he's on an elite team with NFL pass-catchers who continue to carry and boost his value.
As I mentioned before, Dante Moore is top-notch, but Arch Manning can do more than about 95% of the collegiate QB landscape can right now.
If the game was on the line and it came down to Arch Manning, Sam Leavitt, or Julian Sayin, who would you rather give the ball to? It's pretty safe to say that it wouldn't be Leavitt or Sayin.
