Bijan Robinson is officially the highest-paid running back in the history of the NFL.
After three years in the NFL, the former Texas Longhorns running back inked a new deal with the Atlanta Falcons, who drafted him eighth overall in 2023.
Regarded as one of the most productive running backs in the league, Robinson is now the highest-earning running back ever, signing a three-year extension worth $75 million.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter's report, the deal comes with a $51 million guarantee, including $37 million as soon as he officially signs the deal.

Over the last few weeks, the rumor mill was running amok with wayside stories about Robinson or the Falcons holding out on one another, when in reality, they were working toward this record-breaking contract with Robinson's agent, Nicole Lynn.

Robinson is well worth the dough for Atlanta, having never missed a game for the Falcons and dominating the running back room.
Over three seasons, he has already amassed 3,910 rushing yards for 25 touchdowns. He's also earned 1,738 receiving yards and nine touchdowns through the air, something that fans (and, clearly, Atlanta scouts) saw the potential for while he was still at Texas.
Last season, he nearly tripled the yardage of the next man up in the Falcons' running back room, Tyler Allgeier, who only recorded 514 rushing yards to Robinson's 1,478 yards.
As the eighth overall pick in 2023, Robinson was already on a four-year, $21.96-million rookie contract, but with the expiration date on the horizon, Atlanta had to ensure that its franchise running back wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Now, the Longhorn Legend has set another NFL record as the highest-paid running back in league history, but that's something that Texas could have told you was going to happen eventually.
Texas fans foresaw the dominance of Bijan Robinson
While donning burnt orange and white, Robinson was virtually unstoppable, both at the line of scrimmage and the further he got downfield.
Over three seasons with the Horns, he racked up 3,410 rushing yards for a jaw-dropping 33 touchdowns (yes, thirty-three). While suiting up alongside beloved Texas quarterbacks Sam Ehlinger and Quinn Ewers, he also earned 805 receiving yards for eight more touchdowns.
In other words, Texas fans saw the production that Robinson could display well before he was heading to the NFL Draft in 2023. They saw it the first time he set foot on the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
As a true freshman for the Longhorns, he earned 47 total yards against the UTEP Miners in his first-ever game at DKR. While that number isn't notable, his game-long 29-yard run against the in-state opponent was. It was the first flash of brilliance from the running back.
