If you can believe it, Texas basketball is less than a week away from tipping off its 2024-25 season in Las Vegas against Ohio State.

The Longhorns enter their second full season under head coach Rodney Terry with a bevy of new faces and high expectations.
Texas slotted in at the No. 19 spot in the preseason AP Poll and is rated No. 11 by Bart Torvik, No. 18 by KenPom, and No. 19 by EvanMiya. The Horns were projected to finish 7th in the SEC by the media.
Coach Terry and his staff turned over eight scholarships from a team two possessions away from making the Sweet Sixteen. In comes six transfers and four freshmen, many with the pressure to be immediate contributors this season.
There are a large range of outcomes for Texas this season.
They have the talent to reach the program's first Final Four since 2003 but have been noted by some media members as one of the most overrated teams in the country due to their lack of continuity.
Rodney Terry has faced his fair share of scrutinty since beocming the full-time head coach in March of 2023. He has proven he can build a roster through the portal and high school ranks, but how well can he get those players to mesh?
