Cam Coleman just delivered a one-liner that perfectly defines Texas football

It's safe to say that the whole "all in" mindset is alive and well in Texas' locker room.

New Longhorns WR Cam Coleman has been doing nothing but impressive things at Texas since he arrived, and he just dropped a perfect quote to describe his new football program.

A member of the media recently asked Coleman, what's one thing that he's learned about the football program since joining the team?

He responded with:

"We work hard and when you say 'tough all day' it's like a deeper meaning".

His response is incredibly powerful, and intriguing to hear from someone who's brand new to the football team. Sometimes, it takes a while for a new player to notice a difference from one FBS program to the next, but there seems to be a pretty big distinction at Texas.

Coleman's answer really shows how the players have bought into what Steve Sarkisian and the rest of the coaching staff have been harping on this offseason. Texas football players have to be prepared to work for everything, as the level of competition is much higher than other places, and this isn't the first time that we've heard something like this from both former and current players.

When it comes to Coleman's journey with the Longhorns so far, it sounds like he's fully embraced the grind and has been an exceptional leader both on and off the field. His actions have been noted by both WR coach Chris Jackson and Steve Sarkisian.

“I think the skill set kind of speaks for itself. But I think it's the work ethic, the demeanor, his willingness to be coachable, the effort he exudes,”

“When this guy's numbers called, he plays and he goes for it. Last Friday, we had a conditioning drill at the end of a workout. And I mean, he ran our half gassers as good or better than anybody on the team.”

It's incredibly apparent that Coleman is working hard to be the best player that he can be in 2026 for Texas, and it's definitely going to pay off on the field this year.
