About three dozen blue-chip prospects littered the sidelines and the stands of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday night as the Texas Longhorns took down the Ohio State Buckeyes.
That included quite a few Texas commits, like five-star wide receiver Easton Royal and five-star interior offensive lineman Ismael Camara, just to name a few.
And to put it lightly, the double-digit comeback victory over the then-No. 1 team in the nation was exactly what the Horns and head coach Steve Sarkisian needed to cement those commitments and likely bring a few more into their fold.
Steve Sarkisian' hosting commits and prospects for Ohio State seems to pay off
In fact, the (hopefully) future Longhorns couldn't contain just how impressed they were by the show that the Longhorns put on display during the second half, and more specifically, the fourth quarter.
"Don’t go against," Royal wrote on X, including a picture from his official visit to Texas this summer. "Shoulda been a blowout!!"

"Hook’Em [Texas football]," four-star wide receiver Thrower wrote, also including a picture from his OV. "Protect the brand, #hookem."

Camara, who has been one of Texas's most outspoken recruiters since committing to the Longhorns in July, took to social media to write, "They can’t F with us. #hookem."

Before the game even kicked off, top prospects were spotted outside of the stadium, with Texas commits like four-star tight end Brock Williams being greeted by current Longhorns as they walked into DKR.

The hype and allure around the Texas Longhorns football program were on full display on Saturday night, and the fact that Sarkisian, Arch Manning, and the rest of the team could secure the victory was exactly what the program needed to continue its unbelievable recruiting dominance.
Of course, there were also quite a few uncommitted prospects in the stadium, mainly from the class of 2028, which the Horns larely have yet to tap into.
So far, Sarkisian has received a commitment from just one recruit in the class of 2028: Neimann Lawerence III, who was also in attendance for Texas's win over Ohio State.
However, even while remaining uncommitted, many of those top prospects couldn't hold back on just how impressed they were by the Horns.
"Great game, Great vibe," five-star safety James Foster III wrote on X.

"Back in the 40 acres tonight.. can’t wait to see the atmosphere at DKR," four-star running back Micah Rhodes wrote before the game began, afterwards making sure to add, "HOOK EM!!!!!!"
The entire country (at least the large majority of it that watches college football) stood in awe as Texas put up 21 unanswered points, securing its place as the new No. 1 team in the land, and that included the nearly three-dozen recruits in attendance.
