Former LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron was on an episode of Barstool's Pardon My Take recently, and the statement he made about Arch Manning as a quarterback has the world buzzing. Not only did he liken Manning to that of Joe Burrow, but he decided to step it up a notch on the "wild" scale, and college football fans weren't ready for it.
Yes, Longhorn Nation could also believe this if they'd like, because for all we know, he could be that incredibly good. It's another thing to say it out loud on such a publicly viewed national platform, and by someone as well-known and Coach O.
When discussing Manning and his outlook with Texas, Orgeron stated that:
"Arch is as close to, or maybe, as good as Joe that I've seen."

Everyone understands preseason hype but saying that Arch is already as good as Joe Burrow is a bit much as of right now, even by Texas standards.
Don't get me wrong, we're all hoping that he ends up being that successful of a player for the Longhorns, but holy cow. Let's at least see what happens in 2025 before comparing those two guys. Arch already has an incredible amount of pressure on his shoulders as it is heading into this season.
