4-star Westlake HS (Austin, TX) shooting guard Bo Ogden, has officially announced his intention to play basketball at the University of Texas. He turned down the likes of Purdue, Tennessee, Kansas, and Virginia to stay home and play under his father, Chris Ogden, who's the GM of the men's basketball team.

Bo brings excellent size and scoring ability to Austin along with the flexibility to play both shooting guard and small forward for Sean Miller and Co. in 2026. His above average ability to make shots from every area of the floor will make him a dangerous weapon for the Longhorns, and his catch-and-shoot ability is already better than some established collegiate wings.

He also has a smooth, high, pull-up shot as well that allows him to raise up and hit shots over the top of taller defenders near the paint. He's an 87% shooter from the free-throw line as well, and he knows how to draw fouls on a pretty consistent basis when driving to the hoop.

He's getting better and better as a creator and ball-handler and he's not afraid to bang inside and rebound despite only being 195 pounds.

Texas has found themselves and wing with loads of potential in the 2026 class, and Bo Ogden has the ability to contribute solid minutes as a true freshman next year.
