Head coach Rodney Terry and the Longhorns have already offered and been in communication with Williams on the recruiting trail well before the start of the 2024-25 college basketball regular season.

Texas is among a group of seven schools said to consistently communicating with Williams on the trail, including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Baylor Bears, Kansas Jayhawks, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Arizona Wildcats.

He's also been offered by the Washington Huskies, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Oregon Ducks, Mizzou Tigers, and Michigan State Spartans, among other D1 programs.

Williams plays for TMI Episcopal High School in San Antonio, TX, but he is originally from Arizona.

He is the son of former New Orleans Pelicans, Detroit Pistons, and Phoenix Suns NBA head coach Monty Williams. Monty is currently the head coach of TMI Episcopal.

Williams ranks as the No. 29 prospect nationally in the 2026 class in the 247Sports Composite, No. 14 small forward, and No. 2 from Texas.

Texas has recruited in-state wings and forwards at an elite level in the past few cycles under Terry and staff. In the 2025 class, the Longhorns signed high-four-star Houston (TX) Link Academy power forward John Clark.

The Longhorns signed multiple blue-chip wing/forward recruits in the 2024 class, including Dallas (TX) Link Academy five-star Tre Johnson and Carrollton (TX) Newman Smith four-star power forward Nic Codie.
