The Texas Longhorns continue to recruit at an incredibly high level, and one of their top 2027 recruiting cycle targets, 4-star OT Brian Swanson, had a dominant performance at the Under Armour All-American Camp in Denton, TX this weekend.
His overall length and positional versatility are what made him standout amongst the others this weekend, performing incredibly well at both offensive guard and tackle. At 6'5", 300 lbs., he already has a nice frame with some room to grow, which is what FBS programs like to see from higher-level recruits along the offensive line.
Coaches aren't neccessarily looking for players who are already close to being maxed out physically before they even get to college. When an offensive line recruit is recognized as being above-average and shows potential to get even better in multiple areas, that's when schools start to flock to a player.

Swanson's flexibility and aggression were on full display this weekend in Denton, and he looked very good at every spot the event staff put him at.
He's currently ranked as the No.15 offensive tackle prospect in the 2027 class, though he'll undoubtedly be moving up the recruiting boards soon. He's been getting a lot of attention over the past month or so, and quite a few top-ranked programs are after him.
Longhorns OL coach Kyle Flood is doing everything that he possibly can to keep Swanson "home", as the Dallas native is rumored to be heavily interested in Texas. Needless to say, when Swanson arrives in Austin for his official visit on June 12th, Steve Sarkisian and Co. will be focused on making a lasting impression on him.
Locking up Swanson this summer would undoubtedly allow the coaching staff to take a pretty big sigh of relief heading into the 2026 regular season.
