After taking down the NC State Wolfpack in a thriller of a victory in the First Four, the Texas Longhorns are officially in the 64-team bracket.

Up first, the No. 11-seed Horns face the No. 6-seed BYU Cougars in what could be yet another upset for Texas if head coach Sean Miller and his players can pull it off.

Final odds for (11) Texas Longhorns vs. (6) BYU Cougars

  • Spread: -2.5 BYU
  • Moneyline: -137 BYU, +114 Texas
  • Over-under: +/-157.5 points

Despite the Cougars boasting one of the freshman in the country in AJ Dybantsa, and the Horns struggling to find consistency throughout the year, BYU is only favored by 2.5 points in the head-to-head matchup, and the over-under point total is set at 157.5 points.

For someone to profit $100 on a BYU win, they would have to bet $137 on the Cougars. Conversely, if they wanted to bet $100 on the Horns, they would profit $114 on Texas pulling off the upset.

Odds are from FanDuel Sportsbook and are liable to change at any time.

Player-specific odds for Texas vs. BYU in NCAA Tournament

  • Dailyn Swain (TEX): +/-17.5 points
  • Jordan Pope (TEX): +/-15.5 points
  • Tramon Mark (TEX): +/- 15.5 points
  • Matas Vokietaitis (TEX): +/-14.5 points
  • AJ Dybantsa (BYU): +/-27.5 points
  • Robert Wright III (BYU): +/-19.5 points
  • Kennard Davis Jr. (BYU): +/-9.5 points

Unsurprisingly, oddsmakers have Dybantsa leading both teams in scoring, with his over-under point total set at 27.5 points. However, they only have one other Cougar scoring in the double digits: Robert Wright III.

On the other end of the court, oddsmakers have Texas's Dailyn Swain, Jordan Pope, Tramon Mark, and Matas Vokietaitis all scoring in the double digits. In other words, the Horns are going to have to play their best offensive ball of the season to keep up with Dybantsa and the Cougars.

Final score prediction: 83 BYU, 79 Texas

Sorry, Longhorn fans, I'm just not confident that Texas can pull off yet another upset to keep their postseason hopes alive. Unfortunately, I do expect BYU to cover the spread and beat the Horns by at least four points.

Texas and BYU are scheduled to tip off at 6:25 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 19, and the game will be broadcast on TBS.
