With the firing of UCLA HC DeShaun Foster being made official, the commitment status of the Bruins' 2026 class is bound to fluctuate over the next few months. One of Texas' somewhat higher-end targets, TE Camden Jensen, could be willing to explore other options soon.
The 3-star, 6'6", 250-pound tight end was offered by Texas on June 15, 2024, by Longhorns TE coach Jeff Banks. Naturally, Banks has been Jensen's main point of contact throughout the recruiting process.
Though he's "only" a 3-star, Jensen is one of the best blocking tight ends in the nation right now. His incredibly long and powerful frame allows him to completely engulf defenders at the point of contact and drive them wherever he wants. Some scouts even believe that Jensen could develop into a pretty good collegiate offensive tackle at the FBS level.

In the passing game, he uses his above-average length and wingspan to effectively box out defenders at the catch point. Once he makes the catch and turns upfield, he's incredibly hard for linebackers and safeties to stop and often breaks a tackle or two before going down.
He's also a natural catcher of the football and displays soft hands on a fairly consistent basis. Jensen isn't the fastest player in the world, but he'll be able to move the chains as the quarterback's safety blanket whenever he's called upon.
It's obvious that Texas is still trying to add a tight end in the 2026 class, as they were going after UGA TE commit Kaiden Prothro pretty hard before he shut his recruitment down. Despite being "okay" at the tight end position as far as talent in 2025 and beyond, the Longhorns could be looking to bring in more of a blocking tight end that they can develop.
As mentioned earlier, there's even a chance that the Longhorns could be looking at Jensen as more of an offensive lineman. We'll see if Texas can make something happen here in the near future, because Jensen was another player that this offensive coaching staff liked a lot before he committed to UCLA in May.
