The 6-foot-3 guard from Orlando, Florida, began his basketball journey at the State College of Florida, where he made a notable impact by averaging 13.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game during his freshman year in junior college before making the move to North Dakota State University.
In his first season with the Bison, he was a key contributor, appearing in 31 of 33 games and starting in 10, while averaging 7.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. He also stood out as the team's third-leading scorer in three-pointers, successfully sinking 42 long-range shots. His junior year saw him recognized for his defensive prowess, earning a place on the Summit League All-Defensive Team.
He played in all 32 games, starting 22, and finished the season with an average of 10.3 points per game, leading the Bison with 66 three-pointers and achieving an impressive 45.5 percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc. In the most recent season, White elevated his performance, averaging 17.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and shooting 39.8 percent from three-point range.
This Wednesday, White was in Austin for a visit, having recently toured Virginia Tech. If the Longhorns could secure a player of White's talent, they would gain an exceptional shooter capable of making accurate passes and catches, along with being a strong defender against guards.
He demonstrates impressive court awareness, effectively locating open teammates off the ball, and possesses a high-level jump shot from both deep and mid-range, as well as being a reliable finisher at the rim. If newly appointed Longhorns basketball coach Sean Miller can persuade White to join the team, it would be a significant boost for the program.
