Cook spent two seasons at Texas. He played eight games in the 2024 season, registering eight catches on 10 targets for 137 receiving yards and a career-high two touchdown catches.

Both of Cook's touchdown catches this fall came against the UTSA Roadrunners in a 56-7 non-conference win for the Longhorns at DKR on Sep. 14.

The last game Cook played at Texas this season was in the Red River Rivalry game on Oct. 12 against the Oklahoma Sooners. And the last game where he caught a pass for the Longhorns was the SEC opener in late September against Mississippi State.

During his true freshman campaign in 2023, Cook had eight receptions on a dozen targets, with 136 receiving yards and no touchdowns over 14 games played. He also had one punt return for a fair catch as a freshman.

A former top-50 ranked prospect in the 2023 class from DeSoto (TX) High School, Cook signed with the Longhorns over the Michigan Wolverines, Oregon Ducks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Ole Miss Rebels, and LSU Tigers.

He ranked as the No. 31 prospect nationally in the 2023 class in the 247Sports Composite, No. 4 wide receiver, and No. 6 from Texas.

Cook has a couple of years at Washington under head coach Jedd Fisch to fulfill his potential as a former five-star recruit from the DFW Metroplex. He ranks as the No. 13 transfer wide receiver and No. 37 overall player in the portal, according to 247Sports.

The winter transfer portal window officially closes for new entrants to submit their paperwork on Dec. 28. Players participating in bowl season and the 12-team College Football Playoff who have games played on or after Dec. 24 have an additional five-day window after their postseason concludes to submit paperwork to enter the transfer portal.
