Texas basketball has been on a hot streak, winning three straight SEC games in a row over the past 10 days. They haven't just "beaten" them either, they've been winning each game by 4+ possessions due to their offense's ability to come in clutch to close out games.

One of the team's most impactful players in those games has been Simeon Wilcher. You might not agree based on his statistical production (7.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 2.6 APG over the last three contests), but he's consistently in the position to create plays for the Longhorns both on offense and defense each week.

In a recent media session, Texas HC Sean Miller had a couple of nice things to say about Wilcher regarding his attitude as well:

"He loves the game, and you see that love of the game in how he approaches practice and game days. It's been interesting and fascinating to see him handle the highs and the lows of the season, both for our team and for him."

Miller also mentioned that he's a winning player and that he has a very consistent work ethic.

It's great to see and hear things about players like Wilcher who arent constantly in the spotlight like Dailyn Swain, Matas Vokietaitis, or Tramon Mark. Players like Wilcher are what coaches call "glue guys" in a locker room, someone who always does the right thing and keeps their head straight in practice and in games.

He's always been ready to go, rotating in at both shooting guard and small forward when his teammates need a breather this year.

If the Longhorns are going to make it to the 2026 NCAA Tournament this season, Simeon Wilcher will be a crucial piece in finishing up the regular season strong.
