The No.17 Texas Longhorns unfortunately fell to the No.4 Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 35 to 10 on Saturday night, and it drastically affected their postseason outlook according to ESPN.
Sadly, for this year's team, the loss to UGA most likely means that the College Football Playoffs are no longer an option for Arch Manning and Co. in 2025. There's always the slight chance that the Selection Committee would consider Texas if they manage to pull off a huge upset against Texas A&M on November 28th, but that's a longshot.
Following week 12's results, ESPN bowl game experts Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach have updated their postseason projections for the entire league. When addressing the Texas game this past weekend, Bonagura said:
"Georgia dominated Texas over the weekend -- which should effectively remove the Longhorns from CFP consideration."
Both Bonagura and Schlabach went on to project each bowl game separately, so they have Texas essentially making one of two different bowl games this year.

Based on the preseason aspirations of this year's Texas Longhorns team, which bowl game they make really shouldn't matter. The goal was to make a deep run into the College Football Playoffs, and due to a slew of issues, they probably won't be making it.
