Former All-World Texas P Michael Dickson has been one of the most consistent punters in the league since being drafted by Seattle in the 5th round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was an All-American, All-Conference, and Ray Guy Award winner for the Longhorns, and he has continued on with a successful career over the past eight years at the pro level.

Dickson was a 2nd-team All-Pro this season while averaging 49.0 yards per punt and placing 20 of his 52 total punts inside the 20-yard line.

Heading into the Super Bowl, nobody would've expected that one of the most impactful players on their team would be a punter, but here we are. Dickson was incredibly consistent on the night for the Seahawks, booming seven punts for an average of 47.9 yards per kick, and he bombed a 55-yarder downfield to land inside of New England's 5-yard line when Seattle was in a bad spot.

It was pretty funny in-game because at times where you'd typically see skilled position players and quarterbacks being featured in highlight reels, it was P Michael Dickson.

Having such a steady player be able to flip the field for you is incredibly comforting, and the Seahawks definitely realize that Dickson played a huge role in the Super Bowl victory.

Not many teams have a punter who garners as much attention as Dickson does for Seattle, and it's safe to say that he's going to have an incredibly long and successful career in the NFL. He just finished up year No.8, and he shows no signs of slowing down.

Dickson, alongside DT Byron Murphy II, and S Quandre Diggs were officially the three former Texas players to add a Super Bowl ring to their trophy case in 2026.
