Texas basketball (11-5, 0-3 SEC) and head coach Rodney Terry are looking for their first victory in SEC play this week in the Red River Rivalry game against the Oklahoma Sooners (13-3, 0-3 SEC) on the hardwood in Norman.
Oklahoma is also searching for its first win of SEC play. Both Texas and Oklahoma started out 0-3 against multiple ranked opponents in their inaugural season of conference play.
Texas pushed the No. 1 Tennessee Volunteers and No. 2 Auburn Tigers to the brink in its last two games in SEC play. But close doesn't count for much for Terry and the Longhorns, since they need to start racking up the wins in the SEC to stay in the NCAA Tournament conversation in the coming weeks and months.

Texas vs. Oklahoma prediction
OU boasts a duo of dynamic scorers in forward Jalon Moore and guard Jeremiah Fears, who together average nearly 35 points per game while both shooting over 45 percent from the field and 84 percent from the free-throw line.
Guard Duke Miles has also scored in the double figures for the Sooners this season to give OU three players each averaging over a dozen points per game.
OU's issues have not been on the offensive end of the floor in SEC play. Oklahoma allowed at least 80 points in two of its three SEC losses, including a whopping 107 points in a double-digit blowout loss to the No. 5 Alabama Crimson Tide on Jan. 4.
Texas needs to do a better job of rebounding the basketball and playing a complete 40-minute game on both ends of the floor to beat rival Oklahoma on the road tomorrow night.
In its past three games, the Longhorns were outrebounded by a margin of double digits.
