The final contest of a four-game homestand for No. 15 Texas baseball (5-1, 0-0 SEC) at the Disch on Tuesday night comes against the Incarnate Word Cardinals (7-1, 0-0 SLC). Fresh off a three-game sweep of the Dartmouth Big Green (0-3, 0-0 Ivy League) over the weekend at the Disch, Texas and head coach Jim Schlossnagle inched up in the polls early this week.

This was meant to be a five-game homestand for the Longhorns over the past week. But inclement weather canceled Texas's would-be home opener at the Disch last Tuesday against the Houston Cougars.

Texas showed resilience and fight on the mound against Dartmouth, with three wins by a combined margin of five runs last weekend in Austin.

The Longhorns are 9-1-0 in the all-time series on the baseball diamond against Incarnate Word.
