No. 19 ranked Texas baseball begins the Jim Schlossnagle era tonight in the Shriners Children's College Showdown at the home of the MLB's Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX.

Schlossnagle and the Longhorns get to face three power conference opponents out of the gates at Globe Life Field this weekend, including two ranked foes from the Big 12 and SEC.

Texas opens up the College Showdown with a matchup against the Louisville Cardinals from the ACC on Feb. 14. It is the first time that the Longhorns and Cardinals have squared off on the baseball diamond since the 2014 postseason in the College World Series.
