Head coach Jim Schlossnagle and No. 15 ranked Texas baseball (6-1, 0-0 SEC) travels to Las Vegas this weekend for three games against major conference competition, starting Friday night against the Washington Huskies (3-6, 0-0 Big Ten).

This is the first matchup between Texas and Washington on the baseball diamond since the 2024 season, when the Huskies defeated the Longhorns 2-1 in a three-game series at the Disch in Austin. Since the Huskies were a challenging opponent for the Longhorns last season in 2024, this could be a good test for Schloss's squad in Vegas on Friday night.

Texas has shined on the mound to grind out a six-game winning streak in the past couple of weeks, including four wins at the Disch since this past weekend against the Darmouth Big Green in a three-game series sweep.

The Longhorns face a former Big 12 foe in Game 2 of the Las Vegas Classic for Texas on Saturday evening with a test against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Texas is the highest ranked team among the four squad competing in the Las Vegas Classic this weekend, including Texas Tech, Washington, and the Illinois Fighting Illini.

Here’s a look at the TV/streaming information, betting odds, and game time in the opening game of the Las Vegas Classic between No. 15 Texas and Washington at Las Vegas Ballpark in Las Vegas, NV, on Feb. 28.
