The Texas Longhorns have been dominant this season, losing just two games in the regular season and appearing in the SEC Tournament championship game against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Now, the Horns are in the Sweet Sixteen and are looking to advance to their fourth appearance in the Elite Eight since head coach Vic Schaefer took over the program. Texas will face one of the other perennial women's basketball programs in the Sweet Sixteen: the Tennessee Volunteers.

Despite the long history between the two programs, the Horns and the Vols have (somewhat shockingly) never faced each other in the NCAA Tournament. Here's how to tune in:

How to watch Texas vs. Tennessee in the Sweet Sixteen

The Longhorns enter the matchup with a resounding 33-3 overall record, while the Volunteers sit with a 24-9 overall record so far this season. During the regular season, then-No. 7 Texas defeated then-No. 17 Tennessee 80-76 in Austin.

Texas vs. Tennessee series history

With legendary coaches like Pat Summitt (Tennessee) and Jody Conradt (Texas) leading these two programs throughout the years, the Longhorns and the Volunteers have clashed 43 times throughout their long-standing history.

The Vols currently hold a 26-17 advantage over the Horns in their all-time series record. However, over the last decade, Texas secured five wins over eight matchups.
