Steve Sarkisian said that current Texas tight end and Cal transfer Jack Endries will officially be LIMITED for the team's matchup against UTEP in week 3.
Though his actual injury is unknown, Sarkisian said that he'll most likely play on Saturday but that he'll be "limited".
Granted, it would usually be a much bigger deal for Texas if they were playing another SEC team, or a team of higher quality than UTEP, these next two games are the best time for guys to rest up and heal. The Longhorns play Florida in their first conference game on October 4th, and the team has quite a bit of work to do before then, especially on offense. Being able to get the other tight ends on the roster like Jordan Washington, Nick Townsend, and Emaree Winston more reps on Saturday will do wonders for their development. Steve Sarkisian loves to use 12P packages, so this could actually be seen as somewhat of a "good" thing for the tight end room.
INJURY UPDATES:

- Deandre Moore Jr. sustained a concussion Saturday. if Moore is unable to play against UTEP, Daylan McCutcheon and Ryan Niblett will receive reps at the position.

The tight end depth chart for the UTEP matchup will most likely look like this:
TE1 - Jack Endries (limited)
TE2 - Jordan Washington
TE3 - Nick Townsend
TE4 - Emaree Winston
Jordan Washington and Nick Townsend have been primarily used as blockers for the most part when on the field so it'll be nice to see what they can do as legitimate weapons in the passing game against the Miners.
