On Tuesday, former Texas football players returned to campus of the Longhorns' Pro Day. Most of the Horns donned the Pro Day gear that Texas had given them. However, defensive back Jahdae Barron opted for a different outfit.

Barron, who already had an incredible performance at the 2025 NFL Combine, competed in various drills at the Pro Day, and he was wearing a burnt orange top instead of the black and grey gear that everyone else had on.

"I didn't wear any of the Pro Day gear because it was grey and black," Barron said. "I wanted to wear burnt orange for the last time."

In his last season with the Longhorns, Barron won the Jim Thorpe Award, which is given to the best defensive back in the nation every year. The Texas star is expected to hear his name at the NFL Draft during the first or second round.

"I most definitely believe that I am CB1... I'm what you need," Barron said. "There's a lot of people in this draft class. I'm not knocking what they do; they do a lot of great things, but I can do it all."

Barron, alongside his fellow Longhorns looking to play at the next level, will anxiously await to hear his name on April 24, when the Draft starts. He is joined by defensive stars like Alfred Collins and Andrew Mukuba as well as offensive prospects like Quinn Ewers and Gunnar Helm in Texas' 2025 Draft class.

The defensive back was a Longhorn through and through, playing five years for Texas. During his final season, he earned 67 total tackles (46 solo), 11 pass deflections, five interceptions, and one sack.
