According to reports, Steve Sarkisian's representatives have let NFL teams know that he's willing to look into NFL head coaching jobs following the 2025 season at Texas.
It's no secret that Sarkisian's been having a rough time in 2025, specifically along the playcalling front with Arch Manning at the helm.
Over the past two seasons, Longhorn Nation has been seemingly growing frustrated with his inability to perform at a high level in crucial situations. A perfect example of this occurred last week against Kentucky when he chose to run a long-developing trick play on a crucial 3rd & 3 with the Wildcats on the backfoot. He was also to blame for a couple of sizeable blunders in the playoffs last season that ultimately led to the Longhorns' demise.
I’m told that representatives for Texas coach Steve Sarkisian have let NFL decision makers know that he would be interested in potential head coaching openings, including the Titans’. pic.twitter.com/WhBmN28ela

College football fans around the globe have been hopping on social media to air out their thoughts on the idea of Sark making the NFL jump again.
He wants more money for not producing. Interesting.

Dude has ruined back-to-back 5⭐️ QBs and his offense is T. R. A. S. H. What NFL team in their right mind would hire Sark? https://t.co/oL7Zp2PU7C

From a fan standpoint, the idea of Sarkisian jumping ship for the NFL after underperforming as a collegiate head coach except for two seasons is incredibly frustrating to see. He hasn't been able to develop one of the highest rated prep quarterbacks in Arch Manning, so he decides to leave when things get tough?
It's not hard to see why the majority of fans are ripping Sarkisian rather than sending him well-wishes right now.
