Kingwood HS (Humble, TX) 5-star OT Kennedy Brown is a 6'4", 280-pound mauler who's unsually athletic for a high school offensive lineman. His combination of length and movement skills makes him an ideal candidate to be a long-term starting offensive tackle at the Power 4 level.
It's no secret that the Longhorns have a depth issue at offensive tackle right now, and bringing in as much help at that spot over the next 2-3 recruiting classes is going to be imperative. Brown has the type of potential and overall skillset to not only be in the two-deep as a true freshman, but a legitimate candidate to start.
Brown has an excellent build, with the room to easily put on 30-40 pounds without losing footspeed or hip flexibility. One of his best features is his lateral movement skills at the line of scrimmage. He's able to effectively punch the defender while keeping his post leg strong to negate any interior penetration. He's also able to anchor down very well against bigger defensive lineman in man blocking schemes, which bodes well for him at the next level.
You can't talk about Kennedy Brown without mentioning his mean streak either, it's rare to see one of his reps that don't end up with a defender on the ground. He prides himself in finishing blocks with authority, which is one of the main things that caught the eyes of scouts and evaluators early.

He has a beautiful pass set as well, showing the amount of training and practice that's he's already had as a teenager. Brown spent his sophomore year in 2024 at right tackle, but it sounds like he might move to the left side in 2025.
At a composite rating of .9995 according to 247sports.com, he has the potential to be the highest rated offensive tackle in the history of high school recruiting depending on how he performs over the next two years.
