In yesterday's media season, D.J. Campbell was asked a series of questions regarding the offense as a whole, the offensive line, and the coaching staff.
Though the entire interview was an excellent source of information for any Longhorn football fan, what Campbell said about Kyle Flood was very intriguing and heartwarming in regards to his effect on his players.
Campbell was asked about some of the benefits of being "raised" under coach Flood:
"The benefits of that is just being under coach Flood's wing. He's a great teacher. He's able to teach and actually have us learn, know why and what we're doing. So I feel like that's that plays a big part of actually, for the guys that didn't come out and play right away, they were able to sit back and actually learn. So when the time comes, they'll be ready."
The best coaches in the world are the ones who can teach and relate to their players on a personal level, and this isn't the first time that we've heard this type of thing from players about coach Flood. As some of the fanbase may or may not know, Kyle Flood is known as one of the best offensive line coaches in all of college football right now. What D.J. Campbell is talking about here is a huge reason why.
Shortly after this question, Campbell was asked about how excited he was to get another shot at Ohio State, in which he responded:
"Super excited, it's more like a get back game. First stop on the revenge tour."

It seems like the entire vibe around the program right now is exactly how Campbell described it as, a revenge tour. We've seen and heard multiple players repeating that phrase and it's undoubtedly one that will continue to light a fire under this 2025 Longhorn football team throughout the entire season.
