It's official, the Texas Longhorns are one of the four No. 1-seeds in the NCAA Tournament and are hosting the first two rounds in Austin, once again.
As Selection Sunday unfolded and the women's bracket was unveiled, the Horns were sitting in anticipation after securing the SEC Championship win over South Carolina a week earlier. Then, the moment came, and the Horns were named as the top seed in the Fort Worth Region.
Madison Booker, who has been one of Texas's undeniable leaders over the last three seasons, had a priceless reaction. She couldn't help but pump her fist in excitement, joy, and eagerness; her team was one of the four best teams in the world... again.
Her reaction perfectly embodied just how much this means to not only Booker, but the entirety of the Texas team, as well as head coach Vic Schaefer, who never shies away from expressing his pride for the Longhorns.
Texas WBB will play SFA or Missouri State
As the No. 1-seed in their region, the Longhorns will face the No. 16-seed in the first round, which they will play on their home court at the Moody Center in Austin.
Playing for that spot in the bracket are the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks and the Missouri State Lady Bears, who will play in one of the First Four matchups to tip off the tournament.
While the Horns may not know exactly who they are facing in their first NCAA Tournament game of the season, they know that they have earned their place as one of the top teams in the country.

Now, it's time for Booker and the rest of the Longhorns to get back to work, because this season's goal, just like last season's, is to win the National Championship.

The other two teams coming to Austin are the No. 8-seed Oregon Ducks and the No. 9-seed Virginia Tech Hokies, who will play each other in the first round. No. 1 Texas and the winner of SFA versus Missouri State will tip off on Friday, March 20.
