Steve Sarkisian has officially announced that WR DeAndre Moore Jr. has returned from his concussion and will be "Good to go. He'll be rolling Saturday."
Moore plays an important role in Texas' offense, being the go-to slot option for Steve Sarkisian and Co. on the underneath routes. He acts as Arch Manning's "safety blanket" between the numbers and if the offense is running on all cylinders, it's because Moore's being effective downfield.
Sark has raved about Moore Jr. multiple times throughout the 2025 offseason, and recently said:
"He [Moore] definitely brings the juice. He's an Energizer Bunny. He's one of the few guys that was a mainstay starter for us a year ago that has played a lot of football. He has a lot of confidence and can fix things on the field if maybe something's a little bit off because of his experience of lining a guy up, making sure a certain guy is running a certain route, recognition of coverages when the ball is snapped. His experience is invaluable. His confidence uplifts confidence of players that are on the field with him not only on game day, but in practice and in the meeting room. I do think it will be great to have him back."
Moore Jr. currently has 6 catches for 36 yards in 2025, which is indicative of how bad the Longhorns' passing game has been this season. It's going to be interesting to see how involved he is in Texas' gameplan on Saturday in his first game back from the concussion. He'll either jump right into his usual workload, or the coaching staff will limit him slightly to ensure he's 110% ready to face Florida on October 4th.
