The season is just two games underway, but it seems like the Longhorns are starting to find their footing after a shaky start to the year.

That includes one new addition to the Texas offense, transfer tight end Jack Endries, who joined the Horns after starting his collegiate career with the Cal Golden Bears.

Endries led the receiving corps in Week 1, earning 50 yards on four receptions against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Then, when Texas hosted San Jose State for the Longhorns' home opener, he earned an impressive two touchdowns and 52 yards on just two catches.

Could Jack Endries play in the NFL?

His performance in Week 2 turned the heads of a lot of NFL evaluators, especially with his 6-foot-4 and 240-pound frame (a similar build to three-time Super Bowl Champion tight end Travis Kelce).

Endries' best quality is arguably his soft hands, a unique feature for a big tight end. He is also dominant in the back field when lined up in the slot, often providing crucial blocking downfield for Texas quarterback Arch Manning or running backs CJ Baxter and Quintrevion Wisner.

The veteran tight end started both seasons he played for Cal, earning 1,031 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Clearly, Manning is leaning on that experience and utilizing Endries as one of his go-to targets.

With 102 yards on the season, Endries has earned the second-most receiving yards on the roster, only trailing Parker Livingstone, who has quickly turned into Manning's WR1 this year.

Endries and the rest of the Texas offense will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 13, against the UTEP Miners. Kick off is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. CT, and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
